Ruby Mary Margareth Peterson Hinds

Ruby Mary Margareth Hinds passed away May 13, 2001 at Providence St. Peter’s Hospital in Olympia, WA. She was born July 31, 1926 to Martin and Esther (Smishek) Peterson in Stanley, ND. After high school graduation, she joined the US Nurse Corps. She received her RN degree from Trinity Nursing School in Minot, ND. Ruby married Robert Merton Hinds on November 6, 1947. She worked at Trinity Hospital in Minot, ND, Stanley Hospital in Stanley, ND and also worked in public health as the Burke County Health Nurse for 27 years. Ruby was a Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and also a 45 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary SM Foote 161. She took part in bowling, square dancing as well as the homemakers club. Ruby enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, Rosemåling, china painting as well as many other crafts. She is survived by her children, Katherine (Allen) Larson of Lignite, ND, Jeffrey (Vicki) of Sydney, MT, James (Cathie) of Lolo, MT, Richard (Cynthia) of Newburgh, IN, and Son-in-Law Timothy Fieldsend of Olympia, WA; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving Aunt Violet Glaspey – Chehalis, WA. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Valerie Ann Fieldsend and sister Delores Green. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 Monday, May 16, 2011 at Mills & Mills Funeral Home. A Memorial and Graveside Service will be held on July 30, 2011 in North Dakota
