Larry Laverne Cox

Larry was born January 31, 1938 at Calvin (Bell County), KY. He was born at home to parents Willis W. Cox and Cleo Greene Cox who both preceded him in death.Also preceding him in death were his only daughter, Patricia "Sissy" Johnson and husband, Peter.

Larry passed from this life on September 28, 2015, in the comfort of his home in Olympia, Washington. He leaves behind his wife, Maureen, as well as other family and friends who will miss him.

He is survived by son, Larry Cox, Jr. (wife, Danette), six grandchildren:Woodrow 'Woody.. Cox, San Diego, California, Whitney Cox, Olympia, Larry Cox Ill, Olympia, Hannah Soltis (husband, Ryan),Denver, Colorado, Peter Johnson, Jr.(Florida) and Arianna Tate (husband, Troy) Olympia, as well as two great grandchildren, Lexi and Aksel.

Also surviving Larry are his brother, Jerry Cox, (wife Joan), two sisters, Mitzi Johnson (husband,Glen), Sue Cole, (husband, Bruce) and several nephews and nieces.

Senior's passions were many, such as Football, Horse Racing, Race Cars, Golfing and Traveling. His main passion was his Family.

There is a special person in Larry's life who knew him well and Stu put it this way, and I quote:

WE NEVER MET ANOTHER MAN WHOSE PRESENCE FILLED A ROOM LIKE LARRY SR. HE WAS LARGER THAN LIFE, HEAD-STRONG AND FEARLESS•••HE COULD INFURIATE YOU ONE MINUTE, AND GARNER YOUR RESPECT AND ADMIRATION THE NEXT. HE COULD BE

INTIMIDATING, AND HE COULD DISPLAY A CHILD-LIKE PLAYFULNESS. HE COULD BE AN IRRITANT AND AN AGITATOR, A CONFIDANT, AND A KIND, LOVING MAN. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ONE LIKE HIM, AND I LOVED HIM.

He will be GREATLY MISSED!!!
