Karen was born on January 13, 1941 to Lawrence and Esther Semanko in Elma, WA. and was the oldest of 6 siblings. Growing up in ‘Garden City’, she was a cheerleader at Elma High School and graduated in 1958. She has always been a faithful Catholic woman.
Karen married Charles (Chuck) Bellrose June 30, 1962. They had 2 boys, Michael and Patrick. Together, they built a beautiful life in Tenino, Wa. She worked for the State of Washington in the DSHS department where she later retired.
Karen was blessed with 4 beloved grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She enjoyed going to all their sporting events and was always the loudest fan there.
Karen loved dancing and music, especially Elvis Presley. She was an avid Seahawks fan and never missed a game. Any chance she got to head to the beach, she’d take it. She enjoyed painting ceramics, knitting, crafting, and most recently doing her diamond art.
Karen was an all around incredible woman. She was fun, supportive, beautiful, strong, and lovable. Her laughter was contagious.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband Chuck. Her parents, Lawrence and Esther, and younger brother Kenny. She leaves behind her siblings Larry, Lorna, Jerry, and Christine. Her 2 sons, Michael and Patrick, daughter in law Kathy, granddaughters Tara(Dylan), Michelle(DeWayne), and Katey(Jason), and her only grandson Dakota(Emily). She also leaves her 11 great grandchildren and countless friends that will miss her dearly.
The service to celebrate her life will be held on March 3, 2023 at St Peter Catholic Church in Tenino, WA at 11am.
