Judith Anne (Rawls) Williams, age 76, of Lacey, surrounded by her loving husband, Ric, and four daughters, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Judith was born on June 28, 1947, in Crockett, Texas to parents Claude and Billie Rawls. The eldest of five siblings, she learned early on how important family is, not only in the good times, but also through the many tragedies over the years.
Judith, also known as Judy, was a member of the Scarlets dance team and a 1965 graduate of North Shore High School in Houston, Texas. There Judith met her soulmate, Ricque Glen Williams, who she would marry later that year. Judy was an amazing mother to her four daughters, born in just a little over three years. She was the most generous, selfless, kind-hearted and loving mother to her girls; the best Mom they could ever hope for.
Judy became a Mamaw at 43 years of age; and within 14 years, her and Ric were blessed with 10 grandchildren. Just last year, Judy and Ric’s 1st great grandchild was born here in WA, close enough to see him often.
Judy was a woman who put her family first, never complained, gave of herself joyfully, and was a beacon of light to everyone she met. Judy was a godly woman, who put her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. Her relationship with the Lord has sustained and carried her through many tragedies, losses, and hardships. She has been such an inspiration to our whole family.
Judy had numerous talents, abilities, and gifts she gladly shared with others. Judy loved to entertain family, friends, and neighbors with her excellent cooking and hosting the best dinners and family gatherings. She had a creative and instinctual ability for design, whether inside the home or outdoors in her yard and garden. Judy loved to decorate for all the holidays and shared baked goods and treats with her neighbors. Everyone who met Judy always had the same comment about her, “she’s the sweetest woman ever.” Judy’s love of cats began when Fluffy showed up on our doorstep in the 80’s. Throughout the years and 7 cats later, they have brought her much joy, comfort, and companionship.
Judith is survived by her husband, Ric Williams of Lacey; daughters, Andrea Thompson and husband Kenny of Shelton; Erica Black and husband Eric of Granite Falls; Stephanie Bellamy and husband Kevin of Fredericksburg, VA; Sabrina Holloway of Crockett, TX; grandchildren, Jessica Yu and husband Jeremy of Herndon, VA; Jared Lovell of Wenatchee; Heather Kraemer of Puyallup; Marysa Lovell and fiancé Tom Finsterle of Fredericksburg, VA; Kenneth Bellamy and wife Sarah of JBLM; Jacob Watson Black of Stanwood; Kayla Bitton and fiancé Blake Watts of Bradenton, FL; Rachel Bellamy of Bunker Hill, WV; Dakota Black of Bothell; Alyssa DeGrand of Granite Falls; Tristan Thompson of Shelton; Tara Hinton of Crockett, TX; great-grandson, Lawrence Wayne Bellamy of JBLM; brother in law, Don Wakefield; sisters in law, Melody Wakefield and Faye Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
