85. Janet will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 73
years, Lester (“Teeny”), and her children Patti Kristrom (Danny) of Hoquiam, Gary Fisher of Olympia, and Julie Fisher (Clyde) of Olympia. Janet will also be
forever remembered by her 5 grandchildren: Eric, Sarah, Kristi, Tyler and
Emily; 9 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Neena Stoskopf (Gary) of
Olympia.
Janet will also be fondly remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends, as well as her devoted caregivers at Magnolia Woods Adult Family Home; Margarita Carrillo and her family.
A native of Aberdeen, WA, Janet was a song queen at Miller Junior High and Aberdeen High School. She was involved in the Grays Harbor Active 20/30 Club, and an active volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital and Robert Gray Elementary School. While living in Aberdeen, Janet owned Fisher Custom Canning and loved vacationing at her lake house on Lake Quinault.
She moved to Auburn, WA in 1985, opening Fisher Foods and Valley Station
Deli, finally settling in Tumwater, WA, in 2000. She spent many years “snowbirding” between Washington and her second home in Palm Springs, CA.
Janet was an avid Seahawks fan, never missing a game, and a talented seamstress. She enjoyed exploring the Northwest with her family, making great memories of camping, fishing and boating. Friends and family all remember her as a true angel, a loving person who always had a way of making you feel cared about and loved – in fact as they were growing up, her three kids’ friends saw her as a “second mom”. Janet was a great listener, and always gave great advice, while at the same time being very supportive.
A celebration of Janet’s life will be held on June 23rd at the Olympia Elks from 2pm-5pm. Potluck-all are welcome.
