James Harold Frost died Monday, July 3, 2023, at Garden Courte Memory Care in Olympia, WA. Jim was born September 24, 1926, in Tacoma, WA. to Willetta (Lott) and Claude Frost. He graduated from Olympia High School and Simpson Bible College. He served two years in the Army during WWII as a medic in the Pacific. On August 26, 1949, Jim married Beverly Jean Welsh. They were married for 54 years. He worked 30 years at the Department of Labor & Industries, retiring in 1981. On September 17, 2004, Jim married Phyllis Willows. He was a member of the Hidden Creek Community and Mountain View Nazarene churches. He enjoyed building homes, being involved with his church, traveling, and loved spending time with his family. Jim’s generosity, kind heart, and deep faith were an inspiration to all. His wife Beverly, parents, brother, and three sisters, all preceded him in death. Jim is survived by his wife Phyllis, his sons James "Mike" (Patty) and John (Cheryl); his daughter Reneé Zirkle, all of Olympia; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, three stepsons, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be at noon on Friday, August 18 at Hidden Creek Community Church, 1807 9th Ave SW, Olympia, WA, 98502. Memorial donations may be made to Hidden Creek Community Church for the Great Commission Fund or to The Alzheimer's Association. Jim’s family wants to thank Dr. Ben Goold, the staff at Garden Courte Memory Care and Providence Hospice for the loving care they provided for him. Arrangements are by Mills and Mills Funeral Home.
