Fran was born on September 30, 1923 to James Stafford Hattrick and Mary Josephine Bucher in Burlington, Washington and passed away April 15, 2011 in Olympia, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents, three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her six children Mary Jo, John, Teresa, Ward, Lisa and Julie and their spouses, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends.
As a young girl her family moved to the Yakima Valley where she grew up. She graduated from Toppenish High School in 1941. She attended Business College and began her career as a judicial secretary where she met her future husband Ron, when he came to court to represent the Department of Game. On July 10, 1947 she and Ron married. Together they had six children. Fran later became a medical transcriptionist for Dr. David Williams in Yakima. In 1971 they moved from Yakima to Olympia, Washington where Ron worked for the Department of Game and Fran continued her career as a medical transcriptionist at the former Memorial Clinic in Olympia.
Fran greatly loved her faith, fresh flowers, family and friends. Over the years she made many trips to the Yakima area to visit her daughter Teresa and her sisters Margie, Pat and Bobbi She organized annual beach reunions where her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would gather and celebrate. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at Mills and Mills Funeral Home in Tumwater on Monday April 25th at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Yakima, Washington, Tuesday April 26th at 1:00 PM.
