She spent the first years of her life in Arkansas then moved to Naches where she lived for many years. On September 21, 1952 she met Bill Pearce, three months later on December 21, 1952 they were married. They were married two months and four days short of their 55th wedding anniversary when Bill passed away.
She loved her family and friends and her loving dog Abbie who kept her going these past few years. She loved taking care of all of her flowers she had enough to keep 4 graves decorated all summer each year.
She loved to go hunting or just driving over the hills and mountains, taking care of her fish and birds. She loved to travel and had seen all of the states but six. When younger she enjoyed square dancing, bowling and embroidery.
She is survived by her son, Patrick Pearce of Olympia, daughter Pam (Ken) Leininger of Tenino, 2 Grandchildren Nichoel (Red) Fry of Eugene Oregon, Sarah Miles of Spokane and 5 Great Grandchildren. Her brothers, Dewane (Jean) Ashbrooks of Tieton, Alvis (Jan) Ashbrooks of Yakima, Sister Louise Biggers of Walla Walla and sister-in-law Emma O’Neal of Selah, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill, parents, Charlie and Ora (Ross) O’Neal, step mother Clara O’Neal, brother Dean O’Neal and 2 Granddaughters Anne and Alicia Pearce.
The funeral services and interment will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Mills & Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Tumwater. A celebration of life will be held at Pellegrino’s Event Center following the service.
