Brian Wayne Prosser, age 50, of Rochester, Washington passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. Brian was born September 27, 1971 in Anchorage, Alaska. With a spirit as adventurous as the Alaskan landscape, Brian lived life to the fullest. He grew up in the shadow of Mt. Rainer, in the town named after the iconic mountain, Rainier, Washington. As a person who loved to work with his hands, Brian was an Automotive Mechanic after having graduated from Rainier High School in 1990. One of his most proud accomplishments was working at Capital Corvette and Classics.
Brian, a leader, friend and mentor, found his greatest joy in coaching youth football. This is where he found true happiness, and was a constant figure of guidance for years through the Black Hills Junior Football League.
A wonderful father, one of Brian's missions was to teach his daughters how to be self-reliant. His larger-than-life personality was not only welcoming to all, but also shared with anyone and everyone without judgement. Because of this, he was a stranger to no one. He would drop everything and come running, and if you needed him, he would be by your side immediately. A man of selflessness, he cared deeply for the well-being of others.
Scooter, Brian's favorite cat, was one of many animals he loved. He would call Scooter his "spirit animal," and even today, you can feel Brian's presence when giving Scooter a scratch on the neck, or a rub on the belly.
A proud descendant of the Ogalala Sioux Indian tribe, he loved to study the ways of his ancestors, share with his daughters, and embrace the beautiful culture of the indigenous people of this great land.
Brian will be missed, and his spirit and legacy will live on.
