Alice Sang Ok Martin

“Our beloved mother Alice Sang Ok Martin passed peacefully in her sleep into God’s Kingdom on October 27th 2022. Alice was born to Wu Young Han and Eun Soo Lee on July 2, 1931, in Kae Sung, Korea. She was deeply cherished by her family and lived a full and joyful life. After graduating high school, she was quickly pushed into adulthood and responsibility as the Korean Conflict broke out. Alice then relocated to Seoul, Korea and pursued a career as a switchboard operator and a cosmetics representative at the Yongsan Post Exchange.

In 1961, Alice met and married William J. Martin; William treated Alice like a queen. They went on to have two children, Patricia B. Raymond and Richard C. Martin.

Alice moved with her family to Olympia, Washington in December 1979. Her husband William passed away in 1980. After William’s passing, she found comfort in her church and loved her Savior Jesus Christ and His church.

Her final years were spent in retirement with her loving family. Alice is survived by many loving family members, including her daughter Patricia and her husband Jeff, son Richard and his wife Jin, her brother Dong Eun Han and his family, her sister Heidi Yun and her family, and her brother Dong Geun Han and his family, nieces Seung Hae, Soo Jin, Soo Me, Judy, and Suzie, and nephews Seung Ho, Dennis, Michael, and David, and grandchildren Cierra, Aaron, Faith, Stephen, and Noel.

Alice joins her mother Eun Soo Lee, her husband William J. Martin, and her sister Yang Ok Han and her brother-in-law Kyung Yul Lee in Heaven."

A graveside Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 o’clock pm Monday November 7, 2022 at Mills & Mills Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Tumwater, Washington.
