I dated his daughter Janice and  her Dad was an awesome man.

How broken hearted I am , he was such a great man he helped me many times in many  way always eagerly not grudgingly . The Ron Hill family is so sorry for your loss.

dear great grandpa, never thought I see the day that I would meet my great grandpa. I enjoyed the laughs and memories we made for the little time we had. I will never forget the joke you always made aka cold water. Your memory will always live on with me and thank you for sharing your philosophy on life. I will really miss the times I would come over with my brother and grandpa Jospeh. cherishing the days we spent. this is not goodbye but see you later when we meet again.

This picture was taken by my dad right around the time when he had completed restoring his 1959 Chevy Fleetside. He was in his 80s! This is just one of the reasons my dad has been an inspiration in my life.

This is a picture my dad sent me last year when I asked him for an up to date photo of himself. This is how he usually looked when I would ask him what he was thinking about.  I never knew him to be at a loss of words when he was in that mode.

This photo is of my dad in around 1969.. The man you see here is in top physical, mental and enotional condition. He was the BOAT CAPTAIN.  of a specially trained 4 sailor crew that patroled and policed the hundreds of vietnamese who traveled up and down the vast MeKong Delta.  Authorized by the United States Navy and Vietnam maritime. Exclusive to the 
RIVER PATROL FORCE and LST PARSONNEL as well as the MINESWEEPER, HELICOPTER and NAVY SEAL DETACHMENTS were authorized to wear the much coveted Black  Beret. The sailor who wore this beret was highly respected by his shipmates and feared by the North Vietnamese for their boats of glass and their balls of brass. The light weight jacuzzi jet propelled  super charged Detroit Diesel power plants enabled these highly trained sailors to insert and extract the Navy seal  undetected. In a boat to shore and boat to boat fire fights my dad's boat was equipped with twin 50 cal. Machine guns fore and aft single 60 cal. Port and starboard . Grenade launchers and such. This boat could rock your world. My dad's mechanical skills allowed him to redesign the jacuzzi pumps. Enabling them to be more powerful and efficient.  Being a workd class Chief Engineman he was also the mechanic who kept that boat battle ready 24/7. He was in fact a true super hero / warrior / mechanical genuis.. with a bronze star and purple heart as proof. I love that man

I'll miss your laughs, I'll miss your hugs. I'll miss the life lessons you so loved to share. I'll carry you with me always, everywhere. It will be the greatest honor of my life to spend every day trying to live up to the legacy of my grandfather.

I am so thankful that I got the pleasure to meet you! Jeff and I driving from Kentucky to Arizona with all three kids was the best time we have ever had! You welcomed my son and I with open arms. We enjoyed your stories and everything about you! Jeff absolutely adores his grandparents and loved you so very much! We all love you! Until we meet again 

Grandpa 42 years on this earth and I can’t say enough about the Man and Father you were. God gave me another guardian angel. You use to tell me how you were Superman and John Wayne even He Man. Well you are still a hero to me. You will be truly missed down here. Until I see you again, I Love You and welcome.

Uncle Willy taught me to hunt, four wheel off road and a lot of mechanic skills. He always told great stories about his past and all my kids loved seeing him. I wish my grandkids could have met him but God had a different plan. I hope to see you soon Aunt Rose and my cousins to celebrate his amazing life.

I will never forget celebrating his birthdays and all singing out of tune and laughing.  The best of memories.
