Mrs. Sara Jean Lander passed away on October 23, 2012. Born Sara Jean Roberson in Fort Worth, Texas to Samuel and Hester Roberson on May 3, 1935. Sara Jean had lived in the Tucson area since she was fourteen years old and graduated from Tucson High School. Sara Jean was selected Miss Texas College in 1953 for her beauty and grace. She married Glendale Lander of Tucson in 1955 and raised three beautiful children while living in various locations around the world when Mr. Lander was in the Military. Sara Jean enjoyed the company of many friends in Tucson and cared for her community very much. With love we say goodbye. She is survived by her three grown children: daughter, Merry Lee Lander (Phoenix, AZ) and sons, Mark (Tempe, AZ) and Dennis M. Lander and three grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew and Dax. Sara Jean Lander will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service at Evergreen Cemetery, 3015 N. Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705 at 12 noon Tuesday October 30, 2012.
