Salvador Gonzalez Angulo Jr.

Salvador G Angulo Jr, 76, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 9, 2024 in Tucson, AZ. Salvador was born on February 19, 1947 to Salvador D Sr and Esperanza Angulo. Married for 55 years to his beautiful wife, Mary Ann Angulo.

Salvador is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, his children, Susan, Araceli, Veronica (Jose), Salvador III (Flor), Mary Ann (Fred), Rosalinda (Rob), his 22 grandchildren, Krystle (Travis), Alex, Desiree, Travis (Brianna), Danny (Alexis), Andrea, Jessica, Feli, Anjelina, Leesa, Elijah, Joseph, Raymond, Ann-Janette (Taylor), Matthew, Chavita, Carlos, Ismael, Freddy, Santo, Chammy, Chiki, 13 great grandchildren, Judeia, Jax, Luna, Angel, Adriana, Catalina, Carolina, Aiden, Abigail, David, Dahlia, Jojo-Love, Romeo, his mother, Esperanza, 2 brothers, Reynaldo and Albert and 3 sisters, Panchi, Esperanza and Melva and many other close relatives and friends.

He was preceeded in death by his father, Salvador Sr, mother in law, Ruth, brother, Alvaro, and granddaughter Selina.

Salvador was a Veteran, he was hardworking, a provider, storyteller, jokester, and mentor with an astounding love for his family. He is the anchor and builder of his family and his legacy will live on.

Salvador served our country as an Army Medic. It was about that time that he met his future wife, Mary Ann. Salvador enjoyed taking his wife up to Mt. Lemmon on his motorcycle. Later he started taking the whole family up to Mt. Lemmon. He taught his children how to hook and scale fish. He enjoyed many outdoor activities. That tradition has been passed down to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Salvador was a builder. He made homes from bottom to top. He did everything from framing, electrical, plumbing,etc. He was an architect. He loved working with his hands. He made wooden murphy beds for his children.

After battling diabetes for many years, Salvador's kidneys started to fail. The dialysis was no longer working. His son gave him a kidney. That gave him over 25 more years of life. In that time he has persevered through many ups and downs, With the loving care of his wife and family.

Salvador was brave and courageous. He taught his children never to give up. The words “I can't” weren't in his vocabulary. He always had confidence in his kids that they could do better. He taught his kids survival skills like how to get water in the dry desert and how to skin a snake and oh did he love his hammock, that was one of the first things that went up when he took his kids camping. He loved to dance with all his children and grandchildren. It would always put a big smile on his face. Never once did you see Salvador be lazy, he was a hard-working man.

A visitation for Salvador will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Funeria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, followed by a military Honors at from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at the Angulo residence.
