Mina Lee Minter was born on November 30, 1932 in Acworth, TX and passed away on October 1, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Minter, father Willie Woods, mother Rebecca Woods, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her son William (Mary), grandchildren Rachelle (Darrel), Jason (Jenny), her great-grandchildren Kachelle, Kamron, Jordyn, Brooklyn and great-great-grandchild Aubrielle; as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mina loved God and family. That was truly evident in every day of her life. She was a faithful member of Sahurita Church of God in Christ, where she worshipped the Lord. The Minter’s home was a central gathering point for family and friends over the years. She was a Mother to many – with her warm smile and providing an open ear to listen. As a humble, but very wise woman, she would offer wisdom to those who requested her guidance and prayers. “We little knew that morning, God would call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you will always be by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.” Author Ron Tranmer. Funeral services will be held at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 1019 E. 31st St on October 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:00 prior to the service. Internment to follow at South Lawn Cemetery. The family thanks Casa de la Luz for their loving and compassionate care during Mina’s final days.
