Mary Grace Browning Capa

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our mother, Mary Grace Geronimo/Browning Capa. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the age of 68 surrounded by her family. Her siblings, children, and grandchildren are deeply saddened by their loss but thankful God granted her peace.

Grace came to the United States from the Philippines when she was 17. She married after high school and had four kids, two daughters and two sons. As a single mother, she moved with her children to Tucson, Arizona to be near her brothers after being in Chicago, Illinois for 17 years. Grace retired from being a patient care technician in nursing homes and Tucson Medical Center after 30 years.

Grace is survived by her four children, who made up the entirety of her world, Marivic (Blaine) Ferguson, Victor Capa Jr, Michael Capa, and Christine (Joshua) Schwartz. Grace had five grandchildren, Dillon, Agathon, Madison, Emily, and Zofia all whom were very special to her. Grace was number two of four siblings, Gloria (Phil) Gil, Gerry Browning, and Van (Sarah) Browning.

Services will be held in her honor on November 4th at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.

Weep not for me though I have gone into that gentle night. Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul’s sweet flight. I am at peace, my soul’s at rest there is no need for tears.
