She was born in Angola, IN on February 25, 1930 to Wayne and Bernice (Hammond) Cover. She was raised on a farm in Michigan and attended Reading High School in Reading, MI.
In 1944, she met Lloyd Junior Redding, and they were married in 1947. She was married to the love of her life for nearly 75 years prior to Lloyd’s passing in 2022. In 1954, they moved their family to Tucson where she had resided since. Marilyn was the proud mother of Dennis, Sandy, Mike, Janice, Brad and Mark. Her family was her greatest joy in life. She was happiest at family gatherings on holidays and other special events.
Marilyn started her career in Tupperware in the early 70’s and became one of the most successful representatives throughout the country. She earned multiple sales awards and honors during her career. She became a Tupperware manager shortly after her career began, which she continued for many years. Selling Tupperware gave her great joy, and she made wonderful friends who remained her friends throughout her life.
Marilyn was an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Her faith was important to her and gave her great comfort.
She is survived by her children, Sandy, Mike (Debbie), Janice, and Mark (Lisa); sister, Jean; sister-in-law, Linda; and aunt, Katherine. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, and sons, Dennis, and Brad (D’etta). She leaves behind 12 cherished grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service to honor Marilyn’s life will be held at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ, on January 18, 2025, at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Christ Presbyterian Church “celebration of life fund.”
