LaVerna Mae Sievers, age 93, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. LaVerna was born in Flint, Michigan to Patrick and Lezona Martin.
In the eighth grade LaVerna had to leave school to care for her two younger sisters, Patty and Betty. LaVerna went to live in California in the 50's where she started her secretarial career at Fireman’s Fund Insurance where she worked for many years. LaVerna moved to Arizona in 1974 to live in Rio Rico. She had a special love for her cats, and for all cats she had a passion.
LaVerna is survived by her two younger sisters, Patty Lehne and Betty Featherston. Also, her two adopted Sons, James Hedges and Michael Hartman.
LaVerna will be greatly missed by family and friends.
There will be a Graveside Service at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, on Tuesday November 15th, 2022 at 10:30 in the morning. Where LaVerna will be laid to rest in the Garden of Apostles. 5801 E. Grant Road, Tucson Arizona 85712
