The Caruso family is sad to announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, on July 8, 2022. Joe was born to Sam and Sara Caruso on January 20, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan. He married the love of his life Patricia Ann (DeMicco) on September 26, 1959 and shortly thereafter he was drafted into the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge he began working at Ford Motor Company until his retirement in 1985. The following year they set their sight on a move to Tucson. Although retired he continued to work part-time for many years and enjoyed meeting with his buddies for coffee.
He is predeceased by his parents and his father and mother-in-law, Sam and Helen DeMicco. Survived by wife Patricia Ann, three children, daughter Rosemarie (Caruso) D’Alessandro, and son’s Salvatore (Patricia) Caruso and Michael Caruso. Grandchildren Joey (Jennifer) D’Alessandro, Sal (Jaime) D’Alessandro, Reno D’Alessandro, Graceanna D’Alessandro, Nina Caruso, Alida Caruso, Sal Caruso, and Michaela Caruso. Great Grandchildren Joey, Gino, Graceanna Marie, Salvatore and Zara D’Alessandro. His sister Rose (Sandy) Chirco and brother Leonard (Laura) Caruso. Many nieces and nephews and long time friends.
Memorial will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 12:30 pm. at East Lawn Palms Mortuary & Cemetery 5810 E. Grant Rd. Tucson, AZ 85712
His kind heart and his witty humor will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
May his spirit live on forever in our hearts.
