Alfonso “Poncho” Cadena died in his home on Saturday Oct. 3, surrounded by his family that loved him very much. He died at the age of 66. Alfonso is survived by his wife Delia. Alfonso and Delia met in 1976 shortly after he migrated to the United States, they shared 44 years together and raised 2 sons and 3 daughters. Alfonso “Poncho” Cadena fallecio en su casa el Sabado 3 de Octubre, rodeado de su familia que lo amaba mucho. Murio a la edad de 66 anos. Alfonso le sobrevive su esposa Delia. Alfonso y Delia se conocieron en 1976 poco despues de que Alfonso emigrara a Estados Unidos. Compartieron 44 anos juntos y criaron 2 hijos y 3 hijas.

From his children he has been blessed with 16 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren to fill his life. He loved them all and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren have been able opportunities to make and cherish awesome memories with their grandfather. De sus hijos ha sido bendecido con 16 nietos y 8 bisnietos para llenar su vida. Los amaba a todos y sus nietos y bisnietos han tenido la oportunidad de crear y apreciar recuerdos maravillosos con su abuelo. Alfonso lived part of his life in California working as an Agriculture worker before moving to Tucson, Arizona. In Tucson he worked as a Ranch Hand at the Al-Marah Arabian Ranch, he really enjoyed working with and around the beautiful horses on the ranch.
Alfonso vivio parte de su vida en California, trabajaba como trabajador agricola antes de mudarse a Tucson, AZ. En Tucson trabajo como ayudante de rancho en Al-Marah Arabian Ranch. Realmente disfruto trabajar con y alrededor de los hermosos caballos del rancho.
He enjoyed watching baseball and talking baseball stats with anyone that was around him, his knowledge of baseball was always impressive. His favorite team was the San Francisco Giants and he cheered them on faithfully. Disfrutaba viendo beisbol y hablando de estadisticas de beisbol con cualquiera que lo rodeara. Su conocimiento del baisbol siempre fue impresionante. Su equipo favorito eran los San Francisco Giants y los animo fielmente. Alfonso will be missed by all those who loved him.

A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel University, 7 East University Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85705, followed by a rosary service from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
