Edward J. Arguello, 89, of Tucson AZ, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was born in Teaneck, NJ, on August 20, 1934. Ed attended Bergenfield High School, graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s of Industrial Engineering and an MBA. He had a long career with Western Electric/AT&T in New Jersey and Colorado. Ed had a passion for God’s word and shared it with many as a member of Gideons International. He also had a deep love for his family. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Janet R. Arguello. He is survived by his four sons, Edward J. Jr. (Klarice), Kenneth F. (Vicky), John R., and Peter D. (Karen); grandchildren Sarah (Brian) Michelz, Kari (Chase) Hemphill, Lauren (Levi) Janz, Marc Arguello, Michiah (John) Kirkhoff, Richelle (Jordon) Snelenberger, Joseph, Alexandra and William Arguello; great-grandchildren Bella Michelz, Rowan Hemphill, Autumn Kirkhoff, Lilly and Leo Janz. He also leaves behind his special friend, Ann Arnold. A service in celebration of Ed’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at El Camino Baptist Church, 7777 E. Speedway Blvd., Tucson AZ 85710. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Gideons International.
