Charlie Ratliff was born on April 23, 1934 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late William & Sue Ratliff. He passed away on April 3, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his youngest son, Rodney Ratliff who passed in 1985 and his oldest brothers, Solomon and Blaine Ratliff. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nellie Ratliff of Brookville, Indiana; his oldest son, Charles W. Ratliff (Bobbie Sue) of Austin, TX; sisters, Hattie Sanders, Geneva Seegmueller and Nancy Cunkel; 3 grandchildren, Leigha Michelle of Texas, Andrew Jordan of Dallas Texas, and Beau Ratliff of Denver and one great grandchild. Charles served as a deacon in the Benson Heights Baptist Church and worked with Tucson Electric Park for 24 years. He was a resident of Tucson for 45 years. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at East Lawn Palms Mortuary with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm and burial immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
