Surrounded by family, Mom passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
The eldest of nine children, she was born December 1, 1917 to her parents, Antonia Villegas Astorga and Bibiano DeMara Astorga.
Carmen joins her predeceased beloved husband Miguel Delcid Soto, her baby boy, grandson, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mom’s greatest accomplishment in life was her astounding, wonderful, compassionate role as daughter, sister, wife, and mother to seven children; Frank aka Tarzan (Linda), Mike (Teresa), Henry (Martha), Angie (Mike), Juan (Alexandria), Norma (Jimmy), and Margie.
Carmen is survived by her seven children, brother Tony Astorga, sisters Mary Verdugo and Ernestina Ortiz, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
