Blaza is survived by her Mother, Socorro Carbajal, siblings Jose Antonio (Olga), Hector, Mario (Isabelle), Hermelinda (Lalo), Osbaldo (Della), Tony (Natalia), Norma (Arturo), Anita (Emmett), Jaime (Anna); her sister Socorro, daughter Elvia Medina; her daughter Sonia Soria (Peppers); her son Jasper Medina and Raquel (sister in law); her grandchildren Adan Espinoza, Pablo Soria, Devon Soria, Robert Medina, Bryan Speer, LuzCelia Speer, Ben Gomez, Yriana Medina, Yaritza Alvarez, Destiny Medina, Daniel Medina and her great-grandchildren Persefanni and Izanami Medina. Blaza was preceded in death by her father Felix Carbajal, brother Felix Carbajal and sister in law Sylvia Ramirez.
Blaza was an amazing daughter, sister, mother, nana, tia and friend. She worked hard to raise her children; and harder to help her children raise theirs. She was extremely close to Destiny and made sure she never missed a softball game or practice. Watching Destiny play was her passion. She was loving, kind, sarcastic, funny, and had a sharp wit. Her loud and contagious laugh will be missed.
The Pallbearers will be Robert Medina, Adan Espinoza, Pablo Soria, Jasper Medina, Pepe Soria, Gilbert Villegas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Loveall, Bryan Speer, Devon Soria. Mark Anthony Villegas.
A visitation for Blaza will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706. A graveside service will occur Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
