Apolonio "Al" Hernandez Romo 1919 - 2013 Al Romo, born December 17, 1919 in Douglas, Arizona; passed away August 24, 2013. He is survived by his sons, Rodney Romo (Melanie) and Paul Romo (Beatrice); his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his nieces, Rachel Trefry and Alice Villarreal; nephews, David de la Vara and Robert de la Vara and 11 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Romo; his grandchild, Rachel Romo and great-grandchild, Alexander LaZar. A long time artist in Tucson, he was best known for his watercolors and murals. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Visitation will be at FUNERARIA DEL ANGEL, 7 E. University Blvd., on Monday, September 2, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 801 N. Grande Ave. Interment to follow at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, AZ.
