Richard loved learning, teaching, reading and music. He was a lifetime student. He earned two BS degrees from Georgia State. A double major of Biology and Chemistry in 1977 and Psychology in 1997. He was a dental technician, a teacher, and owned his own construction business. He loved going camping with his family and dogs.
Richard is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife, Bonnie Gordon Fewell, and three sons Richard “Birney” Fewell III (Dominique), John “Byron” Fewell (Liza), and David “Benjamin” Fewell (Kristen); his grandchildren, Ceci, Elsie, Alexander, Indy and Addy; his Mother, Patricia Hair Fewell, and his sisters Susan Glausier (Evans), and Judy Chesin (Brad). He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Chewie and Dorey.
