Lovie was preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie, Luther, Guy and George; sisters, Pauline and Louise; and her infant son, Ed. Also, her two husbands, Edward Daniel Thornton and Joseph WF Couch, and daughter in-law Patti Thornton.
Lovie is survived by her sons, William Franklin Thornton, Wootson Thornton (Sarah Ann), and Joe (Butch) Couch (Lorie); six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She loved them all dearly.
Lovie’s hobbies were cooking for her family, moving (every couple of years), shopping at Goodwill and the Salvation Army, sewing and snapping beans.
Services will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA on Sunday, July 21, 2018 at 3:00 pm., with burial to follow. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm. Rev. Brian Moore along with Rev. Gary and Nanette Harmon will be officiating.
