Born in Woodside, Jamaica to Dudley and Florence Brown. Isaiah passed away in Acworth, Georgia on October 11, 2022, after multiple health issues. Survived by his wife Joanne Brown and their two children Zachary Brown (20) and Hannah Brown (16) and older children Stephanie Brown (34) and Joshua Brown (31) from his former marriage with Lesli Remaly-Netter. Isaiah had ten brothers and sisters, extended family members and was loved by so many friends.
Isaiah moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1973. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and was a Gymnastics State Champion in New York. In the early 1980s, Isaiah moved to Miami, Florida where he worked as a Physical Education instructor and Coach for Beth Shalom Academy Day School in Hollywood Florida and Temple Beth Am in Miami as an After School Coach.
Later in life, he suffered many traumatic experiences, despite the difficult circumstances and countless surgeries, Isaiah had various skills and talents. He worked numerous trades including carpentry, lighting and sound engineering, store clerk, warehouse worker, photographer, supported the music, drama and art departments and eventually teaching again. He loved shooting pool and going to the bowling alleys, where he and his friends would enjoy making bets with the locals. He developed an appreciation for Boy Scouts and became a Scout leader. Isaiah was a member of several church groups and served as a youth advisor.
His silly jokes and fun-loving spirit were contagious, he had a sense of humor that would not quit. He could always brighten up a room with his smile and charisma. He had countless one liners that he loved to say such as “Handle your business and finish what you started,” “Don’t hate the player hate the game,” and his children’s favorite, “Don’t let your mouth write checks, you’re a** can’t cash”. Always lending a helping hand when needed, he would volunteer or just to support a friend in need. He had an uncanny ability to connect with anyone around him. Isaiah will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
