Frances Pass McKoon of Atlanta Ga. went to be with her Heavenly Father on October 7,2024, She was a homemaker and took good care of her family for many years, enjoying time cooking, sewing, and gardening. She and her husband James McKoon were charter members of Briarcliff United Methodist Church in Atlanta, and worshipped there for many years before its closing (after serving the community for 58 years) during her time there she was a member of United Methodist Women. She enjoyed the social part of her garden club, Hoe and Grow, serving in different office positions for the club and taking part in community beautification projects. For over 40 years she volunteered with Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to the elderly, shut-ins, and other people in need. She had a passion for community service and volunteer work.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Allie and Minnie Mae Pass, her husband James H. McKoon, brothers Walter Pass and John Willie Pass, and sisters Juniata May Pass, Cleo Mitchell, and Ruby Harrison.
She is survived by son Darryl and wife Luc McKoon of Brookhaven, GA. ,daughters Pam and husband Karl Hilsenberg of Auburn, WA, Kathy and husband Jimmy Gossett of Suwanee, GA. as well as grandchildren Hanna Reynolds (Eric), Niles Hilsenberg, Sara Hughes (Gary), Mary Katherine Petrakos (David), Victor McKoon (Stephanie), Nicholas McKoon (Jourdan), and Zachary McKoon, and five great grandchildren.
Frances will be missed by those who love her.
