Kathleen Ann Willacker, 67, of Buckley passed away suddenly Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Munson Medical Center. Kathleen was born August 1, 1949 in Ypsilanti to Alton and Charlotte (Preston) Boles. She attended Franklin High School in Livonia and on May 3, 1969, Kathleen married the late Martin P. Willacker III.
Kathleen worked for United Technology and Tower Automotive. After retirement she worked as a greeter for Walmart in Traverse City. Kathleen enjoyed playing cards, especially with her Euchre group. She also loved the casinos and was a very lucky player. She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, and reading. Kathleen loved spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Valerie (Matt) Duperon of lake Leelanau, Martin “Marty” P. Willacker IV of Wyoming, MI, Shelly Willacker of Buckley, and Brian Willacker of Buckley; one granddaughter: Gabrielle Willacker; seven siblings: John (Carol) Boles, Gerald (Dani) Boles, Bill Boles, Donna (Kenny) Wilkins, Deanna Pappas, Karen (John DiCicco) Boles, and Suzanne (Jay) Keller; many nieces and nephews and good friends. Besides her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, brothers: Dennis and Ron Boles, and in-laws Martin and Clara Willacker Jr.
A visitation was held Friday, May 5, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. A funeral was held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial took place at Barnum Cemetery in Mayfield.
Memorial contributions in Kathleen’s name were directed to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Kingsley.
