Irene F. Victoria

Irene F. Victoria, 93 of W. Townshend, VT passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Grace Cottage Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1922 in Bristol, RI; the daughter of the late Manuel and Ermelinda (Medeiros) Furtado.

Irene was educated in the Bristol, RI school system, graduating from Colt Memorial High School, Class of 1940.

She is predeceased by her husband, Jose C. Victoria; a son, John Victoria in 1979; a brother, James Furtado in 2003 and a sister, Mary Careiro in 2014.

Irene is survived by two sons, James Victoria, and Joseph Victoria and his wife Rosemarie; a daughter, Mary Hayes and her husband William; five grandchildren, Billy Hayes and his wife Rie, Joseph Hayes and his wife Tara, Victoria Graves and her husband Derek, Christopher Victoria and his wife Donna and James Victoria; six great grandchildren, William and Jackson Hayes; Annabelle and Joseph Hayes and William and Joseph Victoria, as well as several niece and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of The Valley Catholic Church, Townshend. Celebrant will be Father Fred McLachlan, SSE, Pastor. A time of visitation will be held prior the Mass at the Church from 9:30 until 11:00. Following the Mass, Graveside committal services and burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Townshend
