Dearest Valerie and family,  I just heard about your mothers passing.  I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Your mother was an absolute wonderful woman and I am so grateful to know her!  She was an amazing role model for women in the 1970’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s, etc…. !!  
Her hard work, and constant effort to make life beautiful, joyful and secure for you and Walter during those early days, was a sight to behold.  Especially, being a single mother.  But Lu did so with such Grace.  She was living out, what I hoped to achieve as a woman in my own life.  She had her shit together and made raising two children, working full time, running a household, all look so effortless.  It wasn’t until much later in life, through her conversations with my parents, that she shared the hardships and struggles of those times.
But while she was living it all….  She made her life appear ideal.  You’re mother was an amazing Woman.  I admired her greatly. 
…And she was so damn beautiful!!!  I’ll never forget seeing her walking out the door looking like a Runway Model! All the time!  She really did!   She was always stylishly polished in her appearance and seeing her driving around town in her canary yellow corvette, made me want to emulate her.  Your mom was definitely a classy, top notch lady. 
For me, as a young girl, Lula was poetry in motion.  Having your mother and family next door all those years was truly a blessing.  Her friendship over the years has been priceless and both my father and mother truly thought very highly of Lula, as does the rest of our family. She will be missed, but never forgotten.  
Rest in the Peace of Our Lord, Lula, and Thank You for being such a profoundly beautiful friend to our family for these past 55 years.  God Bless You!❤️
