2024 after a valiant battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Laura, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was preceded in death by her father; USMC Lt. Col. Robert J. Hoey, her mother; Robbye C. Hoey, and her son; Reed Taylor Bockoff. Mourning her loss are her cherished husband; John Shea of Torrance, 2 brothers; Robert J Hoey II of Orange County, and Daniel Hoey of Seattle, 4 children; Jaymes Bockoff of Kern County, Raena Hawkins and husband, Noel Hawkins of Torrance, Jared Bockoff and wife, Jenny Bockoff of Torrance, and Olivia ”Molly” Bockoff of Big Bear. Laura is survived as well by 2 stepdaughters; Christy Wissler and husband, Eric Wissler of Torrance, and Cindy Cook of Gardena. Carrying her legacy forward are 5 grandchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren, all of whom she treasured with great pride and joy; Cody Wissler/Wife Kiersten Wissler, Austin Cook/Fiancé Julie Steklof, Shea Wissler, Kalea Cook, Nora Hawkins, Danielle Wissler, Seneca Bockoff, Adrian Hawkins, Elisabeth Hawkins, Margaret Hawkins.
Laura was known for her playful spirit and myriad of talents. She was resilient, whimsical, and tough as nails. She was loving, vivacious, and smart. She was an undisputed trivia MASTER. She was faithful. She was fierce. She was SO MUCH FUN! She was the life of the party, and now we celebrate her life.
