He will be deeply missed by his two beloved daughters, Hailey and Abigayle (Matt), who were his pride and joy. Tony is also lovingly remembered by his ex-wife, Cathy, with whom he shared many cherished memories. Predeceased by his parents, Attilio and Adelina, Tony’s legacy of love and creativity lives on through his sister, Mary Ann (Rocky), brother Onorio (Luisa), and sisters, Phyllis and Betti (Greg). He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as countless friends and associates who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Born and raised in Toronto, Tony was a man of boundless creativity, talent and love for beauty in all its forms. After graduating high school, he studied Hotel Management at George Brown College. However, his heart was always drawn to the arts. He pursued his love of painting by attending the Ontario College of Arts and by spending a transformative year studying art in Florence, Italy – a time that deeply influenced his creative journey.
Tony was a gifted artist and painter, whose works reflected his unique vision. Beyond artistry, he built a remarkable career as a highly accomplished and respected production designer, earning admiration and accolades for his dedication and skill in the field. He was nominated and won awards for his work in the film industry.
Tony had a zest for life that was evident in his love for travel and culinary adventures. Whether discovering new destinations such as Australia and Tahiti, or savoring fine cuisine, he embraced the world with open arms and an open heart.
Tony touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness, gentle spirit and unwavering passion for the things he loved. His presence will be sorely missed but his spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
