A vibrant, genuine and kind man who made all feel special. Bob handled any challenge with courage and grace and always relied on his faith to strengthen and guide him. His always present optimism was often accompanied by his sense of humor.
Born in Vancouver, Bob forged his own way achieving great success in his career at TD Bank, Kraft and General Foods finally settling in Toronto. He was very active in retirement, holding vital roles in the Canadian Cancer Society, Rotary and in his church. His care and interest of others never wavered, and he remained engaged in the world around him.
Bob loved a round of golf with friends, making people laugh, singing at church, watching football (especially the Steelers), reading, and great conversation. He delighted in his children’s lives and often remarked that they were his greatest achievement.
Predeceased by his loving wife Lois of 35 years.
He will be greatly missed by his children Kim (Mark), Kevin (Linda) and Rob (Angie) and grandchildren Lily and Luca.
Beloved husband of his second wife of 27 years Joan. Much loved as a second father to the four Waters boys David, Bryan, Mark and Matthew and their children and grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his church family and the retirement home community and all who knew him.
