It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Neil Peter Mercer, on Friday November 8th, 2024 at the age of 57. Beloved husband of Diane for 9 years. Loved son of the late Maura and James Mercer. Son in law of William and Georgette Samia. Loved brother of Ian (Margaret), Paul (Cindy) and Jane (Noel) Stoyles and brother-in-law of Danny (Stephanie) and Matthew (Jessica). Dear uncle of Kaylea (Randy), Shauna, Kendra, Tristan, Dylan, Hollie (Steve), Jamie, William, Benjamin, Dean and Selina. Great uncle to Jack. Loving cat dad to Nipper, Elvis, and Quincy.
Visitation we be held on Wednesday November 20, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of life Service at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m.
Friends and family are invited to join us in honouring his memory. A livestream link will be provided above for those unable to attend in person. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Toronto Power Wheelchair hockey league (TPWHL) and Toronto Cat Rescue in his memory.
Neil was a true inspiration to all. His zest for life, undeniable strength, kindness and wit will be his legacy. Although facing insurmountable odds himself, he never hesitated to fight and advocate for others, We could all take a page from his book.
