Michael Madden

Michael Robert Madden passed away at home on Thursday, February 9, 2017, after a tough and courageous battle with cancer. Throughout Michael’s life his love and devotion to his family was evident. He loved sports, history, music, and politics, and was a man that could stump anyone in trivia or debate. His passion for life will not be forgotten.

Michael (57), son of Edith and the late John, brother of: the late Patricia, Therese, John, Kathleen, Eileen, the late Lorraine, Margaret, the late Nancy, Monica, and Karen. His loving wife Sheila and children Ryan and Brittnee survive him. His family and all of those who were lucky enough to grow close to him will miss his love, passion, and strength.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Memorial visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a service in the Chapel at 1 p.m.

Donations in Michael’s memory will support the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation with Temmy Latner Center for Palliative Care.

The Madden family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and support staff from The Michael Garrison Hospital and CCAC for their dedicated care for both Michael and his family during this difficult time.
