Born to Segundo Palacios and Teresa Escalante in Ambato, Ecuador, she immigrated to Toronto, Canada in the early 70’s in pursuit for a better life and opportunities for herself and her children. After working 20+ years as a maintenance supervisor for DTZ Canada Inc., she retired in 2015. The love for cooking, dancing, music and spending time with family were her passions. While our family is grateful to know Nana is at peace with no more pain and suffering, a huge void is left in our life. Nana will always be held dearly in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends as her light touched so many hearts. She will be enormously missed by surviving children Marcelo, Yvonne, Patty (Henry), her grandchildren Cassandra (Efrain), Markus-James, Jacob, Santina, Melissa and Agostino, and her great grandchildren Jaylenne and Angel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honour to Vaughan Hospice, as we are forever grateful and blessed for all their support, comfort and loving care.
