It is with heavy heart, but yet great comfort, that we celebrate the life of Margarita Rivera Manrique, who has gone home to be with the Lord. A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Margarita peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 9, 2024, at the age of 69.
Margarita was born in Peru, a place she always held dear in her heart, and she carried the warmth and spirit of her birthplace throughout her life. Margarita had a deep passion for cooking and used her talent to express her love for others through her delicious meals. She used this along with other ways as a reflection of her love, care, and devotion to her family. Margarita's home was always open to those in need, and she was known for her generosity, hospitality, and her joyful nature. Her warmth and kindness were truly vibrant and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Margarita was predeceased by her parents, Carmen and Penaflor, as well as her beloved sisters, Catalina, Anna, and her spouse Joseph. She leaves behind her loving siblings: Maria (Augusto), Carlos (Rosa), and Elizabeth (Ivan), with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love.
She is survived by her beloved children: Israel ( Natasha), Nadia ( Gilbert), Joseph, and Justin, each a cherished part of her legacy. Margarita's spirit lives on through her grandchildren—Marlon, Omar, Robert, Daniel, Kathy, Estrella, and Cataleya—and her great-grandchildren, Noemi, Selena, Katalina, and Angelo, who brought her endless joy and fulfillment.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the family members, friends, and caregivers who supported Margarita in her final days. Rest assured that Margarita and the family’s prayers were answered, knowing that she had finally found rest in the Lord.
