It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loved mother Louise Joyce Kozlowski. Louise passed away on July 22, 2024 peacefully with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Robert A. Kozlowski, brother Myles Bourke and partner Ernie Koegel and leaving behind her children Janice Louise D’Amore (Husband Lorenzo), Christopher Henry Kozlowski (Partner Brenda) and Robert Anthony Kozlowski (wife Aneta) and their children (grandchildren) Sabrina, Mathew, Alana, Alexander, Rachel, Ashley and Hannah along with six great grandchildren and siblings David and Michael.
Living through the hardship of WWII as a young girl, Louise helped care for her family with little means. This caring was continued through her RN training and career as a nurse with the Victorian Order of Nurses. Louise cared for many people during their last hours and also received this care from her fellow nurses in her final hours. Louise met her future husband Robert during her training. They dated and snuck out from her training time to be together.
Louise sacrificed regular family life to co-found a community charity (Problem Central) with her husband Robert. She opened her home to ANYONE in the community for 17 years, offering legal assistance and financial guidance to those that could not afford it. This sacrifice was recognized by the great out pouring of appreciation by the community when Problem Central closed down. Louise helped thousands.
Keeping her personal challenges locked up inside her, Louise maintained a bubbly happy personality as her friends (girlfriends she called them) can attest. She could not refuse a friend.
Loved and missed by all. Go in peace mum, our memories are our most valuable assets that you left us, we are so proud of you.
