April 9, 1991 – December 25, 2016
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Louis on Christmas Day at the age of 25. Deeply loved by his mother Lynn Woodman and his sister Ivy Robson. Pre-deceased by his beloved father Wayne Howard Robson. Also beloved by his late Uncle David Woodman, Cousin Melanie Lynn Woodman and Aunt Edna Fisher. He will forever be cherished by his grandmother Nora McPherson, his grandfather Don McPherson, his Aunt Constance Simmonds, Aunt Margaret Woodman, Aunt Marian Ward, and cousins Emily Simmonds, Jason and Barbara Simmonds, Jordan Woodman and Jeremy Woodman. On the Robson side, he leaves to mourn his passing, Uncle Harold Robson, Aunts Rita Kent, Marian Ward and many cousins.
Louis was a talented artist. A gifted actor and musician, he touched many with his natural grace. He graduated Humber College Theatre program, and played bass in two bands, Soul Disciples and Critical. Louis was quick to laugh and celebrated for his easy nature and quirky sense of humor. A proud comic book nerd and funk enthusiast, he was equally at home tucked in between the covers of a comic or deconstructing Shakespeare as he was on stage in front of a captivated audience. Louis enjoyed playing practical jokes, spending time with family and friends at the cottage, sharing his favorite records, re-watching silly movies like Blazing Saddles and Thumb Wars, and making people laugh.
Louis was the type of guy you went out of your way to be around; he could make you laugh and cry in the span of one evening and sometimes cry from laughing so hard. He was a rare combination of someone who had a tender heart and a firm understanding of what is important—the simplicity of living and loving those who were lucky enough to cross his path. He will be greatly missed by many.
Visitation will be held at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home (2470 Danforth Ave., Toronto) on Monday, January 2, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family also invites friends to join them in a celebration of Louis’s life on Friday, January 6th at the Royal Canadian Legion (243 Coxwell Ave., Toronto) from 7 p.m. - 12 a.m. Tributes begin at 8:00.
