June Barbara Smith

June Barbara Smith, in her 100th year, passed away peacefully January 3, 2020. Predeceased by her parents, Harold and Rita Smith, and her sisters, Marguerite Ball (John), and Nancy Smith. Barbara will be fondly remembered by family and friends who were inspired by her love for life, her gentle humour, and her vivid memories of growing up in Lawrence Park, her service to the British government in Washington during WWII, her career in the drapery department of Simpson's, and her many travels around the globe.

The family thanks the staff at Nisbett Lodge for their care and support. Special thanks to Kaniesha for her friendship and inspiration.

Barbara’s life will be celebrated with a private family service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Women’s College Hospital Foundation.
