Jang Ok Kim

Lovingly remembered by her sons, Jun Bae (Hae Jeon), Eun Bae (Hye Kyung), Min Bae (Jung Ho), Sang Bae (Oe Suk); her daughter Seung Hee (Dong Woo). A caring and devoted Grandmother/Great-Grandmother, she will be immensely missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jang Ok was predeceased by her loving husband, Hyun Kyu; her sons Jung Bae and Yoon Bae.

Born in Pyung Ahn, North Korea in 1921 she would go on to study Midwifery in Japan at a time when very few women were afforded the luxury of a career. After marriage and children, she would go on to live in Paraguay, Toronto, New Jersey and London. She was a devoted Christian and when she was no longer able to physically attend services, she would spend many hours singing her favourite hymns and reading her favourite verses. She loved to share stories from her youth and pass along tidbits of wisdom she had gathered over the years. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Service will be held on November 10th at 11am, at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto. The burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, 33 Memory Gardens Lane, North York.
