With shock and sadness, the family of Elaine announces her sudden passing in her 69th year at Markham Stouffville Hospital surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Gresham Hampson and her dear parents, Doris and Oliver McLaughlin. She was the cherished mother of Ryan and Laura. Elaine will be loved and remembered by her sister, Donna (David Swift) and her nieces, Leanne Swift and Sharon Swift (Sam Issa) as well as her sister-in-law Susan (David Parkin) and nieces, Andrea (Matt Nolson) and Carly Parkin.
She will forever be remembered for her quick wit, courage, caring, and dedication to her family. Elaine would agree with Dr Seuss:
“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St. (2 lights south of Steeles on the east side). Visitation will be held on Sunday April 15, 2018 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday April 16, 2018 at 11am. Interment will be at Westminster Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to Markham Stouffville Hospital, The Canadian Digestive Health Foundation or The Heart and Stroke Foundation (south office).
