My name is Jacqueline and I'm the youngest daughter.  

I have so many great memories of my dad Don.  The backyard ice rink you built every winter.  We all learnt to skate at a very young age.  The times spent up at Paul Lake swimming,  and campfires. Learning how to fish which I still love to do when I have the chance.
The legion picnics was always a fun time.  Unlimited ice cream, candy floss and pop.  Every kids dream !!!
Camping...that was always an  adventure.  I was too little to remember a lot of it but the memories I have are great.  
The endless road trips once I got my drivers license up to Oyama with my friend Kristin.  We still talk about them.  Always lots of laughter.  
I remember when Jocelyn was born.  You came to the hospital and you were suck a proud grandfather.  I still look at that picture with love.  And then Christopher was born.  First grandson ! 
And he followed your steps to become an engineer.  
I cant say goodbye.....until we meet again.
Miss you Dad !!!


I remember the fun camping trips we did growing up , until we got our cabin on Paul lake.  What fun learning how to swim and water ski, and in the winter skating and be pulled behind the skidoo. So much fun. Thank you for all my brothers and sisters, we are still having fun.  I remember when you took us to vancouver to see the grandparents. Back in those day we would travel the  fraser Canyon and every time we went throw the tunnels you would honk the horn, I still do that today and think of you. Thanks for the great memories.  Rest in Pease.   DAD!!!     Love you Bonny.

My grandfather was like my father as I never knew mine growing up.. my birthday was December 6.. and I always felt like the favourite as the only other Sagittarius our family. I remember when I was a little girl and he had this very large conch seashell 🐚 and he was like “Watch out!! You don’t want to loose your finger like me!”
As he held up his finger that had been particularly removed from the time he was held prisoner in the war. He was very comical.. I asked him if the Easter bunny had visited him one year when I was probably around 5.. and he said “no, your grandfather is a real son of a b****!”  And I was like “Oh” . So the next day I asked my Granny if the Easter bunny visited her, and she said “No” then I said “you must be a real son of a b**** like Grampa!” 
I’ll miss him dearly, he meant the world to me.  I’m very sad he’s gone and that I wasn’t allowed to see him in his last few days.  

This is the only photo captured of him smiling.. he’s being given the Queens Metal for  his bravery in the field by this Princess.

Farewell  Don, a true friend and gentleman. You will be missed by all who ever had contact with you.  Stand down now Sailor, we have the watch.1
