She was a much beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, friend and neighbour.
She was a great lover of children, dogs, (loud) classical music, the evening news, politics and lawn bowling.
She was the unofficial mayor of the neighbourhood and knew most people and all the children and dogs by name.
She was a feisty lady and never allowed her mobility issues to slow her down.
She could often be spotted far from home, enjoying the Beach or exploring a city park on her "wheels" with a Tim Horton's tea in her cup holder.
She was an integral part of our family and will be so sadly missed. In the end, she was true to her words that she would always say when getting ready to go home after a visit, "Well folks, I'm gonna love ya and leave ya."
