David William Allen born in 1943 in Toronto, died suddenly in Toronto, Sunday October 22,2023. Son of Karin Oquist and Lionel Allen. He will be missed by his brother John Lionel Allen and sister in law Mary Elizabeth Enright Allen. Uncle to Lisa and Suzanne & great Uncle to Devyn. David grew up in Leaside in Toronto. He went to Leaside High and went on to teachers college. He changed direction and then worked at Woodbine Race Track, where he was active in union activities. One of his great enjoyments was playing pool with friends. At one time he was Toronto City champion. There will be a visitation on Friday November 24th at Rosar Morrison Funeral Home from 4 to 7 pm, with a memorial service to follow at 7pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
