Christina is preceded in death by her father, Simon Ramjit, and is survived by her mother, Marie, and siblings Terry, Tony, Annie, Ricky, Devica, and Jerry. She will forever be loved and remembered by her three children, Jenna (Kyle), Tera, and Trevor Ramjit-McKellar.
She was a very involved and dedicated single mother who put all of her energy into ensuring her kids lived life to the fullest. Along with volunteering on school trips and enrolling her children in countless extracurricular activities, she did everything possible to teach them new skills and encouraged them to face all their fears and anxieties. Exposing her children to spiritual, religious, and diverse cultural practices and languages, Christina did her best to foster a respectful and open-minded environment for them to grow up in. She especially encouraged her children’s interest in music and did everything she could to help it flourish, including purchasing multiple instruments and attending as many concerts and performances as possible. Additionally, Christina not only signed her children up for a variety of sports teams, but she would step up to help coach whenever needed, especially when no one else was able to. If she wasn’t familiar with the sport, she would go out of her way to learn it to the best of her ability, always eager to assist in any way possible. When not coaching, she would put endless hours into practicing with her children, or she would watch from the sidelines and cheer them on with a level of enthusiasm unmatched by any other parent there. She made it known in all ways possible that her children were loved deeply and supported in anything they wished to pursue in life.
Christina had a wide variety of interests and careers over the years, but none she enjoyed more than teaching. Students often called her their favourite supply teacher, and she would frequently share stories about the joys she had in class. It is clear that she had a positive impact on so many students’ lives over the years, and many will remember her as a genuinely caring and kind person.
All who knew Christina would agree that she was an outgoing and welcoming person who went out of her way to make people feel included and valued. She would make friends wherever she went and make the effort to help whenever she could. She touched many lives over the years, and her presence will be greatly missed.
