Barbara Anne MacIsaac

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Barbara Anne MacIsaac. In her 58th year, Barb died peacefully at 2:30am on June 2nd, 2024 at Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital after a very long and courageous battle with cancer. This very 'tough' cookie opted for every form of treatment available, at times even pleading for more treatment when there was none to be had. With stubbornness and sheer will, Barb was able to turn the few months she was initially promised into years. Barb did not ‘lose’ her battle, her treatment simply failed her.

Barb was preceded in death by her mother, Joan MacIsaac, her brother Billy and her sister Susan. She is survived by her children Jennifer and Steven and her partner, Pete. Also survived by her siblings; Wendy (Russell), Tater, Sheri (Mike) and Lori and her sister-in-law and longtime friend, Julia. Barb will be missed by her many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

Barb had a very big personality. She was extremely generous, outgoing and always loved a good laugh. She made many friends throughout her life who should now all raise a glass to Barb,

Family and Friends will be received by the Giffen-Mack and Trull Funeral Home at 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto on Tuesday, June 11 for a viewing between 1-3p where a service will immediately follow.

The family would like to pay special thanks to the Temmy Latner Palliative Care team from Sinai Health for their tremendous at home care, especially her nurse, Leslie who always went above and beyond.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Giffen-Mack & Trull Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4C1L3, followed by a funeral service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
