Anna Diakiw

August 8, 1926 - April 17, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful and much loved mother at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario, with family by her side.

Mom is now reunited with her beloved

husband, Joseph (2006). Forever loved by her daughters Christine (Malcolm) McFadyen

and Vera (the late Henry) Kennedy. She will be dearly missed by her brother, John Gierl and sister-in-law, Irmgard, and many nieces, nephews and their families. Loving Oma to Christopher, Marty, Scott, Jennifer and Patti. Cherished great-grandmother to Kennedi, Ethan and Tyler. She will also be missed by many family and friends in Canada, Germany and Australia.

Special thanks to the nurses who cared for Mom while at Parkwood Hospital Palliative Unit: Madison, Virgie, Amy, Linda & Vickie. Special thanks also to Home and Community Care in London, VON, CBI, Middlesex-London Paramedic Services, and Dr. Parent.

As an expression of sympathy, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian

Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.

Family and friends may gather at the Jerrett Funeral Home “Scarborough”, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, ON M1K 2B5 (south of Eglinton Ave. E.) on Saturday April 29, 2023 from 12noon to 1pm. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1pm. Anna will be laid to rest at York Cemetery.
