Peacefully at home after a brief illness on January 5, 2014. Allan, beloved of husband of Jackie (nee Hamilton), loving father of Ken (Gail) and Scott. Predeceased by parents Charles (1967) and Isabel (1981) Allan was a retired District Chief of the East York Fire Department (Toronto Fire Services) Devoted grandfather of Nicholas, Christal (Joe) and Ashley. Great grandfather of Cohen and Aiden, brother in law of Gordon Hamilton. Allan will be truly missed by many nieces and nephews and extended family. At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral. Allan’s family would like to thank Dr. Bill Bates for his wonderful care, the PSW’s, especially Brian, Claudia and Lilah who was with him when he passed, CCAC, para-med nurses and great neighbours. Jackie would like to thank both her sons, Kenny who sacrificed so much to care for his father through a very difficult time and son Scott who is a Funeral Director who followed his dad’s wishes and gave him a fitting send off, Allan would be proud of both boys.
